iRobot Roomba 694"
The Roomba from iRobot is a budget-friendly robot vacuum that works well on both bare flooring and floor carpets with a low pile. It also does a good job at cleaning pet hair but it's not immune to tangling like premium Roomba models such as the j7 or I6.
The Roomba is easy to operate. It features three buttons on the top cover. Clean, which triggers a cleaning process and 'Dock', which puts it in its charging station, and "Spot," which initiates the targeted cleaning. You can control it via an app on your smartphone that lets you to schedule cycles, stop/start them, and alter settings. It is also possible to pair the device with smart home devices like Alexa or Google Assistant to control it by voice commands.
This vacuum cleaner is slower than other models, but it can be able to reach the majority of corners and crevices. It has a large bin which makes it much easier to empty. It is compatible with digital mapping and virtual barriers which allows you to make the robot avoid certain areas, or even stop cleaning altogether to prevent it from getting stuck.

They're more expensive, however they are significantly better than the 694 in terms of performance on both low and bare floors, use the most efficient cleaning method and have a larger dirt compartment, are more efficient to charge, move more easily, and are easier to connect with smart home devices.
Shark RV1001AE IQ
This self-emptying robot that is budget-friendly does a decent job on hard floors and carpets with a low pile. Its combination brush reaches corners and edges, and automatically boosts suction once it senses carpet. It also is effective in cleaning dirt and debris that are embedded in the middle of the pile carpet. The IQ has a small footprint and has a self-emptying feature. However, if you wish to change the floor levels on the map or set no-go zones you'll have to manually reset it in order to do this, which can be somewhat of a hassle.
The IQ's app has some advanced mapping and automation capabilities but it's missing no-go zones which are included on iRobot models. The smart-pathing technology allows for greater maneuverability, and the high-pile mode of its carpet cleaning mode is very effective but it could get caught in rug tassels.
During our tests, we discovered that the IQ handled pet hair well. It was able to remove the majority of hair on bare floors and a decent amount on medium-pile rug. It was less effective on shag carpets. It was unable to reach dirt and dust embedded within the fibers. It did a decent job of maneuvering around the legs of chairs, tight spaces, and the base of a wooden IKEA step stool. It was slower on flooring that was not fully covered, but it recovered speed and performed better than other robots we evaluated.
The IQ is a better option than the iRobot Roomba 694 for most uses. It has a bigger dust bin, lasts longer on a charge, and is more capable of maneuvering itself around obstacles. It also has mopping attachments that are able to handle sticky debris. The iRobot is, however, is more sturdy and has fewer parts that need maintenance or replacement and incurs fewer cost per year, and can create virtual no-go zones with its companion application. It can even restart cleaning from where it left off if it is unable to recharge its battery prior to having completed the task. The iRobot is also controlled by voice commands, which is an enormous benefit for many users.
Eufy 11S
The eufy RoboVac 11S robot vacuum isn't among the most features-rich models, but it provides excellent cleaning power for a low cost. It's a budget-friendly option for buyers who don't need a complicated mapping system or an app to control the device. The robot is capable of running for up to an hour best robot vacuum for hardwood floors and includes a remote, cleaning tool, AC power adapter, charging base and extra filters.
The 11S is slim, sleek, and features a tempered-glass upper deck that looks like brushed aluminum. It's a refreshing departure from the industrial and utilitarian designs of Roomba, Samsung and Neato.
The eufy11S did well in our tests to remove larger debris and fine dust from floors. It was unable to thoroughly clean high-pile and medium-pile carpets. The device is also prone to bump into furniture and people that are in its path however, it is able to detect these obstacles using sensors. If it encounters them it halts and emits a loud sound so you can manually steer it around the obstacle and get it back to work.
The BoostIQ mode is a great feature of the eufy11S. It lets you set up the robot to automatically adjust the suction force based on the floor type and the level of mess. It's also easy to use the remote to direct the 11S to where you'd like it to go.
Single Room Mode is a great option if you have little furniture in the room you want to vacuum. The eufy will take 30 minutes cleaning the area it's assigned.
You can also choose Edge Cleaning, which restricts the amount of time spent in each area to 20 minutes to ensure optimal battery life. This feature allows the eufy to move in a spiraling manner cleaning edges and corners.
Miele Complete C1
The Miele Complete C1 canister robot is a fantastic mid-range vacuum cleaner that is a winner on carpet. Its performance on carpets with no floor is also outstanding. It can remove fine debris like rice effortlessly, and it doesn't lose suction efficiency even as its dirt bin fills. Its allergy-friendly design and air-sealed body traps allergens and keeps your family healthy. It comes with an onboard HEPA filter and self-emptying dustbin, so you don't need additional filters or a separate vacuum bag.
It's not as powerful as more expensive models, but it's still great for tackling stains and deep cleaning. It has two front cameras that provide a live feed to your smartphone. It also comes with one of the most advanced obstacle avoidance systems. It has a huge bin, a long running time and a quick, bump-free cleanup.
